Because of my job I'm on the computer practically 24/7. Long-term is this going to affect my eyes? Any filters or anything I can get to help me out? Any ideas anyone?

I bet you could find some at places like office depot, best buy, comp usa etc. I'm sure they have some that help reduce the strain on your eyes.

When doing any type of close vision work it is also important to follow the 10-10-10 rule - remember to look at something that is at least 10 feet away for at least 10 seconds every ten minutes. This allows your eyes to unwind and relax. Looking out a window is ideal, if possible.
You could stick a yellow post-it not to your computer screen reminding you of this rule. Good luck! |

I saw my eye doctor recently and he prescribed me glasses specifically for work on the computer as well as the regular prescription for non computer use. This has helped reduce the strain on my eye tremendously! Also looking out the window after staring at my screen for a longtime seemed to help as well!
